Helmut is the perfect unisex overshirt for any outfit or season of the year. A fundamental piece in your sustainable wardrobe that will stand the test of time. Inspired by the classic workwear of the 1950s, it is crafted from premium 325 g/m2 fabric and softened with an eco-friendly wash. Made with 100% organic cotton twill in a family workshop in Albacete (Spain). This oversized garment features a straight cut, patch pockets, and French flaps with natural corozo buttons, dyed to match. Note: We recommend you to choose one size smaller than usual. The terracotta color of the Origen Basics collection evokes the warmth of sunsets.

All the prints in the organic cotton collection follow a rigorous standard that controls both the chemical composition of the dyes and the recycling of approximately 80% of the water used during the process.
We recommend washing with cold water, maximum 30ºC and by hand. Use neutral ecological soap for washing machines or by hand, this way you will avoid any significant loss of color or contamination of the water. Iron at medium temperature. Ironing inside out is recommended.

Organic cotton is a more sustainable solution. It is grown without pesticides from seeds that have not been genetically modified.
Organic farming practices avoid using harmful chemicals while aiming for environmental sustainability and the use of fewer resources. Chemical-free agricultural land even stays fertile much longer than land hampered by the constant use of pesticides, so organic cotton farmers generally have a longer cotton commodity lifespan than otherwise.
The benefits are clear: using fewer pesticides means that workers’ health improves dramatically, communities can live in relative health with access to clean water and food supplies, and the land has a longer lifespan because chemicals are not damaging it. It also means the clothes we wear are safer for us since they don’t contain the myriad of chemicals often found in conventional cotton garments.
